Project 52 | FOURTEEN

I’ve had two nights with one three hour stretch of sleep each night. Now I feel like I can conquer the world.

(it’s the little things…)

Whew.

& now I can see a little bit more joy amidst the craziness. & one of those overwhelming joys is the behavior modeling sweet caroline is doing all day long. She is constantly loving on her baby. “Cry Baby” is her baby of choice…always. She speaks to cry baby like I speak to everett. She nurses her when she is hungry (from her belly button, which she calls her “udder boobie.” I love it.) She touches her brother like I touch him. She soothes him like I soothe him. It’s the most heartwarming thing I think I have experienced as a parent. I could watch her be a little mommy all day. & sometimes I need her–because oddly enough, she can often soothe everett when I can’t. They are very in tune with one another.

This is our new favorite thing to do together. She loves wearing her cry baby just like I wear everett every day. We have matching Moby Wraps. (I LOVE my Moby) & they even make a Mini Moby for the kiddies too. :) I can’t stand the cuteness.

Seems like just yesterday I was wearing a teeny tiny caroline around the house. How time flies.

& I am more of a babywearer this time around. I did write an article about all of the carriers I’ve tried. My two favorites are still the Moby & the Ergo. I wear them all the time. I am currently riding a Moby wave. I’m sure I’ll jump back on the Ergo soon. Just depends on my mood. ;)

Hi! Hello! I am Shawna, the founder of Styleberry Blog. This creative corner of the internet has become a learning haven for moms and creatives, offering a warm and encouraging nudge to those who wish to be better and do better, but often don't know where to start. From Decorating to DIY to Diapers and Paleo-ish Dishes, I strive to make the complicated simple and empower women to take action beyond their personal comfort zone. I subscribe to the Shine Theory & so strongly believe that we shine when the women around us shine and mutual support—lifting up instead of tearing down--will always be the culture here. Are you in? I hope so! Beyond the computer, I run Styleberry Creative where I work with clients to create low fuss, high function spaces that are pretty and practical in San Antonio, Texas and beyond. I LOVE making a house a home. My own studs out renovation is now complete and I am now back to working with clients. Please don't hesitate to drop me a line if you'd like to work together! I hope you’ll join me on this fun new adventure! Xo.
