It’s THISCLOSE to being DONE! I have exactly two sewing projects left–a more boy-ish pillow & replacing the bumper ties on his crib–& then I will share the whole thing & resources for all the goodies you’ve seen glimpses of over the last year!

Oh, this room makes me so happy.

& lucky for me…I spend a LOT of time in it! I just sort of wish I could see this fun wall while I am sitting in that chair nursing…but I get to stare at the beautiful quilt & canvas night light instead. Not a bad second choice! ;)

Oh, side note. The Baltic Amber Teething Necklace (like ours) TOTALLY FREAKING WORKS.

OMG.

I am getting sleep. HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His first night on, SEVEN hours straight. Second night? EIGHT. I’ve had at least five hours straight since we put the ugly thing on his neck & I can assure you, as big of a fashion no-no as I think it is, it’s not coming off anytime soon!! I am praying it is not a fluke. ‘Cause this is a decent wave we’re riding!

Julia - I randomly found your blog on pinterest… I don’t even remember what I opinally came for, ha! But, I landed on this post and LOVE that you are loving the amber necklace. Our daughter wears one too. And she was an awesome teether. I didn’t want to chalk it up to the necklace, I wanted to give her credit for just being awesome. But, in reality, I think those necklaces freaking WORK! Glad to hear other people are using them and finding success with them!

Daryl Ann - I wanted to say thank you for posting your wisdom and helping first time mothers like myself. I originally stumbled on your blog when I was researching cloth diapers, I was very scared to start cloth diapers because everyone was telling me i was crazy. After reading and watching your videos I was no longer scared. I’m now in love with my Charlie bananas and fuzzibunz and i owe a lot of that to you, I’ve even started to convert friends and family. It makes me so happy to introduce cloth diapers to people. I recently saw your post on your swaddle secrets and decided to try it on my son Beckett, hes 2 months old and sleeps about 2 to 4 hours. On the bad nights he was up every hour, I was at my wits end so I decided to try your swaddle technique. I’m so happy I did because the last week he’s slept 7 or more hours every night. So thank you for sharing, it’s given this tired mom some much needed sleep.

Sara - Awh, I’m kinda disappointed that you think the necklace is ugly. We put one on our boy when he was about 3 months old and I always thought it was pretty cute. At 2 1/2 he’s still wearing it. Fashion opinions aside, I always thought it helped, I bought one for my friend’s daughter & one for my cousin’s too. Anything that could possibly help, but at the worst, looks cute on is good in my books.

christa - gorgeous room and gorgeous boy! So glad you have been getting more sleep. We tried the amber teething necklace too. We’ve had it since he was 4 months… it’s not been helping Noah really and now that his teeth are starting to poke through we are having even less sleep. I am thinking of trying an allspice necklace next. I am all about trying anything non medical to help.

Beth - It turned out beautiful! I especially love the little piece of art sitting in the chair. He steals the show. ;)
