DIY Father’s Day | cards & gifts

OOOf. What a week. She got sick. I got sick. No one was sleeping. All we wanted to do was sleep. It has not been fun. But, we’re all still alive. & that is called success in my book!

I have photographed my Mother’s Day & Father’s Day gifts the last couple of years but never shared because if I shared before the holiday, recipients would not be surprised. Then the projects always got pushed aside & I forgot…until it was way too late to publish them. So, I am posting these now & then adding them to the styleberry treasury, so you can consult next year. :) These won’t be much of a surprise if you follow me on Pinterest, but as always, I put my spin on what I do. So…here it goes!

I like handmade gifts. I like personalized gifts. So…both were a part of Father’s Day this year. I found this idea on Pinterest & made it my own using some fun patterned scrapbook paper & colors that are sort of daddy-ish. Everyone seemed to get a kick out of these…

Project order:

cut paper • glue body in the middle only • add hand prints • glue legs under body • glue face • glue body on the outside •

cut out owl • personalize

then I mailed them gently bent in half, with a big piece of bubble wrap in the middle

& as fast as I had them assembled…the little miss ripped off the eyeballs. :::sigh::: Indeed, her nickname is Destroyer.

Daddy, Pop Pop & Gramps also received personalized keychains hand stamped with the name caroline prefers to call them. :) Amazing customer service & timeless custom products by The Copper Poppy as found in The Copper Poppy Etsy Shop. Daddy got a bronzed keychain tag & the grandpas got a custom keychain bar. Can’t say enough wonderful things about Alyssa & her shop!

Do you have a great Father’s Day gift idea? I’d love if you left a link below so we can consult it for upcoming holidays!

Hi! Hello! I am Shawna, the founder of Styleberry Blog. This creative corner of the internet has become a learning haven for moms and creatives, offering a warm and encouraging nudge to those who wish to be better and do better, but often don't know where to start. From Decorating to DIY to Diapers and Paleo-ish Dishes, I strive to make the complicated simple and empower women to take action beyond their personal comfort zone. I subscribe to the Shine Theory & so strongly believe that we shine when the women around us shine and mutual support—lifting up instead of tearing down--will always be the culture here. Are you in? I hope so! Beyond the computer, I run Styleberry Creative where I work with clients to create low fuss, high function spaces that are pretty and practical in San Antonio, Texas and beyond. I LOVE making a house a home. My own studs out renovation is now complete and I am now back to working with clients. Please don't hesitate to drop me a line if you'd like to work together! I hope you’ll join me on this fun new adventure! Xo.
