Joy. Bliss. Emotion. That was her dream session. She wanted her family captured in the moment. She wanted to be in FRONT of the lens instead of behind it. Oh, and one more thing…”Makenna will not smile for the camera,” she said. [Challenge accepted!!]
Nicole sent me an email one day & insisted we be friends. I am SO glad she did. She is a photog here in town (find her here) & we have a zillion things in common. The first time we got together we talked like we had known each other for years. I am continually blessed with good people in my life! She asked me to shoot her family & we decided to session swap! These are just lovely, lovely people who adore each other. I don’t always see this kind of joy, but when I do–it’s pure magic. It was the most perfect night we’ve had in months. The weather was pleasant and the light was dreamy. DREAMY. You won’t usually find me doing a family session without a newborn…but this one stole my heart. Loved spending the evening with you, N! *smooch*
We started in a quaint little town & parked it behind some old buildings…who won’t smile?? This one?!?
Then we relocated to the country. Now, I am NOT a country girl. These three came armed with their cowboy boots & well…I was not as smart…and don’t own cowboy boots. We hopped fences & got eaten alive by the bugs. But there were no tears & no snakes. & until we got busted for trespassing, it was perfect. Just perfect. But we flashed our smiles & promised we were done & the ranchers were kind…
