In the current issue of Cottage Living (one of my favorite magazines,) I came upon a few pages that kept me lingering until I had the images burned into my brain. There was a feature article on a fairly unknown builder, Hugh Comstock, who built a series of 20-25 cottages all in a unique storybook style that I found SO interesting! These homes looked like a mixture of whimsy & fantasy, as the article so well words it. Check out a couple pictures of his work:
As a fairly type-A-everything-needs-to-line-up kind of person, I don’t think I could ever live in a home that has exterior trim purposely cut with an imperfect line.
