FIFTY TWO. No way. How has it already been a YEAR?! My goodness. I can hardly believe it. I have to say…of all of the projects that I have done this last year (and wow, there have been a lot of them!) this might be my favorite. What a way to chronicle a year. Each week I tried as best I could to take exactly what I was feeling and turn it into an image. Or take an image and turn it into a way to share how life was treating us. I cannot wait to make this into a coffee table book. Thank goodness my parents are coming into town to give me some help so I can get my year end photo books done this week! :)

So…now what? Is it over?? Well. I’ve decided the answer is no. I’m going to do another Project 52. This little series has been something that I’ve enjoyed doing so much that Fridays just wouldn’t seem right without it. But it won’t be the same. This year’s project was for ME. Next year’s project will be for my BABIES. Plural. How blessed am I to be able to say that? In February our family will be complete. & I don’t plan to put my camera down. I have no clue what time will be left to spend here on this blog but I will guarantee one thing: Project 52 will continue to exist. For my babies.

I have a new theme. A new story to tell. And a whole new person to capture–all while I watch another little person assume a brand new role. What a year this is shaping up to be. :)

& I’m starting fresh with reciprocal linking–want to join me next year? Here’s what we’ll do: Next Friday when I post my 2012 Project 52:1, I’ll need you to comment with a link to your blog. As long as you keep posting your Project 52 weekly, and linking me back, I’ll keep you on the blog roll on the bottom. :) It’s that easy. We’ll hold each other accountable. I encourage you to pick a theme, story or challenge that inspires you & is unique to you. You don’t have to be a photographer. If you are and are looking for a photographic challenge, here are some ideas: Project52.org, mcp actions, or one of my favorites–sweet Annie’s Paint the Moon–Let’s do 52. Use this to grow, document, & capture life as we live it. Let go of judgment & insecurity. Do it for YOU. We all have a special story to tell.

& question–do you like seeing the metadata under each picture? Do you find it useful/helpful? I’ll continue to add it if you feel strongly about it. If not–just pictures & words. & FYI–I recommend using blurb to print your books at the end of the year! :) I’m going to be making another couple of them here in a few days. Here’s my family album from last year if you want to take a peek.

Thank you for being a part of the styleberry community this year. I’ve enjoyed the chit chat & sharing of ideas so much. Happy New Year!!

Hi! Hello! I am Shawna, the founder of Styleberry Blog. This creative corner of the internet has become a learning haven for moms and creatives, offering a warm and encouraging nudge to those who wish to be better and do better, but often don't know where to start. From Decorating to DIY to Diapers and Paleo-ish Dishes, I strive to make the complicated simple and empower women to take action beyond their personal comfort zone. I subscribe to the Shine Theory & so strongly believe that we shine when the women around us shine and mutual support—lifting up instead of tearing down--will always be the culture here. Are you in? I hope so! Beyond the computer, I run Styleberry Creative where I work with clients to create low fuss, high function spaces that are pretty and practical in San Antonio, Texas and beyond. I LOVE making a house a home. My own studs out renovation is now complete and I am now back to working with clients. Please don't hesitate to drop me a line if you'd like to work together! I hope you’ll join me on this fun new adventure! Xo.
