Long before there were fiance’s or husbands or wedding dresses and diamonds there were two girls who chatted about having a family someday. Having kids was never a question for either of us. We both wanted them…eventually. I just ended up getting baby fever before she did. Loooong before she did. But now…we are both mommies & I love watching my best friend in her new role of mother! She is doing beautifully.
After a ten hour car ride there & a toddler who would not rest when we arrived, we made it through the sleepless night & settled in. This was BY FAR the most challenging lighting situation I have ever shot in. This was a temporary living situation for them as they were in the midst of a big PCS, but *whew* we scrapped the morning shoot & let the afternoon light do it’s thing. I’m so glad we waited! It was hard not having any of their personal things around them, but I brought what I could to make it homey & in the end…what more do you need than two doting parents & a sleeping babe? Not much, I’d say. :)
Amy Butler does a line of bedding?! Yes she does. I’ve had this pillow tucked away for MONTHS!
MMmmMM. Black & whites. I just can’t do a shoot without some. Is this the face of a proud new daddy or what?
& of course…the many faces of little Miss Samantha! Not one to disappoint when it came to smiling for the camera! I love my sweet little newborns!
& if you missed part one, you can catch the lovely Tori & Charlie’s maternity session here & here. & her beautiful sneak here. I love you guys. Can’t wait to see you all again soon! In the SNOW!! *MWAH*
& dare I say blog-cation is over? ::sigh:: My little baby is taking everything outta me! Saying a little prayer for more energy SOON! & fun things to come–including a styleberry + Pinkle Toes collaboration tomorrow on The Creative Mama. :)
OOh–and be sure to head over to the LOVELY Laura Winslow’s Bloggie today. She featured my playroom wall on her fun & inspiring Wall Art Wednesday series. Thanks Laura!! ((hugs)) & have you seen her packaging?! I am in love! If you live in Phoenix/Scottsdale.. well…Lucky you! I can’t wait to work with her someday!
