I am so so so lucky to have some really amazing friends. As a military wife, I am uprooted, sent to a new city & forced to create a community wherever I go. I am feeling incredibly grateful this week, because I have so many local friends that I absolutely adore. We are all so different in so many ways & also so very alike. The one thing that pulls us together is respect. None of us do anything exactly like one another, but no one judges. What is best is what is best for our family. Period.

I talk about creating a “normal” here a lot. What is normal for my family is certainly not normal for all families. What I do is best for me, but definitely not best for all. The way we eat, the sleep routine we follow, the way I teach, the way we talk to each other & the way we talk about the future are so crucial to our daughter’s development. I see little things, some intentional behaviors & some not, rise to the surface every day. She is learning. The way we do things in this house is going to be at the core of her identity for a very long time. This is nothing to take lightly. It’s really pretty awesome. Because I love the person she is becoming.

glad some of you are finding the joy in p52! @Erin–I have the Anka high chair by Svan & I can scoot her right up to the table without the tray. All food throwing STOPPED the moment we took the tray off! YEA!

Lizzi B. - You inspired me to start one the beginning of the year but I didn’t want comment until it became routine. It’s so fun! & I look forward to it every week — yay Project 52!
