Two and a half years ago I walked into the hospital completely prepared for caroline’s birth. & by prepared, I mean I scheduled my induction, showed up on time and got the pit going. I read a dozen books on parenting. A half dozen on what happened week by week during my pregnancy. But not...  I love this show. I love this quote. I love her character. It’s so refreshing to see this kind of character on tv. I HIGHLY recommend checking out The New Girl…if you haven’t been laughing along since it’s debut earlier this year. :) It’s awesome. & so is Zooey Deschanel. Pin it  Are you taking maternity leave? You better take maternity leave. But still take pictures! & share them! We want to see the baby!!! Ahh. Welcome to my life. I have never been a gal who can’t say “no.” I pretty much say “no” more than I say “yes” (a wonderful skill I have already passed...  Today marks the start of the fifteenth year that my hubby & I have been together. I think that is rad. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful man to share this life with. He is exactly the kind of father I always dreamed my kids would have. I count my blessings daily....  Sometimes…I feel like retailers have it out for preggos. I mean…all the clothes are (a) tents or (b) so expensive it makes me cringe. Why, oh why, would I ever want to spend over $50 on a piece of clothing that I will only wear for what–six months?! Tack on how expensive nursing bras are...  Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Mine was the best I’ve had in years. We spent the weeks before & after with our family, but the actual holiday was just the three of us. It was perfect. We established new traditions (Christmas Eve milkshakes + Christmas Lights tour & finished...  Metadata: f/1.4, 1/50, ISO 6400 (yowza) ••• It’s been an exhausting month. Between the holidays…a fiery two year old…third trimester of pregnancy…AND a husband TDY (which means GONE, for those of you non-military folk) it’s been tough. I won’t lie. But every night I let her fall asleep with her “christmas” on…her lime green tree...
