Oh me, oh my. Sometimes…an image just moves me. Can you feel the love?
Nicole is one my my dearest friends here. You may remember her from this shoot. She is one of the most capable women I know. I tend to surround myself with women who just make it happen. I enjoy self-sufficient, non-complainers. Because I am one. & so is she. Before this shoot…she mowed, pulled weeds, edged, blew leaves, cooked, cleaned & took care of this precious girl. Why? Because her husband is in Afghanistan. & he has been since she was in her first trimester. When will he return? When her new baby boy is 8 weeks old. That’s right. There is a very special place in heaven for women who give birth while their husband fights a war. Especially those women who also have a two year old. It ain’t easy. But somehow, she’s positive. & such an inspiration.
I’ll be there for her labor & delivery. & I’ll have my camera. I think there is a very lucky baby boy in there. Lots ‘o love in this family.
