Kendall Monroe - I’m from Auburn (the foothills) I know the bay area well! :) so nice here. and yes, I’m the same way, I have a hard time being inside all day. We have a boxer as well and I think he would die in the heat, He has a hard time at 75 degrees :) thanks for sharing your opinion with me, I really appreciate it :)
How do you make time for working out? is it still too hot in the morning and evenings?

Kendall - hi! i love your blog.
Im from California, and i was just wondering how you like Texas?
Have you spent much time on the gulf coast? (corpus christi)
My husband may have a job offer there and we have never been. Just wondering your take as a mom? thanks!

I hate Texas! I have not been to the coast–we’re in San Antonio. I’ve met the loveliest mommies here and have made great friends, but I hate the city and loathe the weather. The schools scare me and I do not consider this a safe city at all. Not an ideal place to raise kids, IMO. I’d never live here by choice.

Thank you so much for your honest answer. we are from northern California and it would take an amazing job offer for us to leave here. We both want to raise our kids near our families (which are in nor California) so its tough to know the right choice if it comes down to it. I don’t want to get somewhere and think o no this was the worst decision …

Thank you for responding , I appreciate it a lot .

I am from Northern California too! San Ramon to be exact. :) Nothing beats the beauty of that part of the country–sure is ugly here in comparison, but the biggest problem I have is that you literally cannot be safely outside for at least six months out of the year because it is too hot. We have at least two months straight of triple digit heat. Sometimes more. & the buffer months are 90s+. I am one who craves being out in the fresh air & walking/running as a family and it isn’t even an option half the year. SAD!!

Beth - I’m so glad everything is looking up!
