A moment of reflection…

Today in my city, the largest mall shooting in our nation’s history took place. I am reminded that tragedy can strike at any place, at any time. Our Omaha, the affluent, crime free west Omaha that I call home was where this horrific scene took place. How could this happen here?

I was tracking back and realized I was driving on Dodge Street within 15 minutes of the shooting. One week ago at about the same time, I drove off the expressway and stopped in Von Maur to do a little christmas shopping. This has hit just a bit too close to home.

My thoughts & prayers go out to the victims of this horrible crime.
