I don’t know the full story…as it’s been a whirlwind for my dear Nicole. What I know is this:

She told me he was on his way. But she hadn’t heard from him for a few days. He got out of Afghanistan early. He was going to miss the birth. For sure. But she would have her partner at some point during the first week.

& then…the doorbell rang. at midnight. four days after her due date.

The army got him HOME.

One was early. One was late. Everyone was perfectly on time.

Last night, I fell in love with birth photography.
