one…or the other…

I have so much to post about, my goodness! I still have a couple of shoots in queue and I think of something new to share everyday…then I get busy and it never gets here. It will! I assure you!

Last night I had my first episode of contractions. It lasted about six hours and did quiet down when I finally got off my feet & took it easy. I think it was a wake-up call. I keep getting told to settle down & relax but I am not very good at actually doing it. Well, here is my promise, internet. I will take it easy. Which, hopefully, means more blog posts because I can do that in the comfort of my cool, air conditioned office! Awesome!

We (I) have been very busy getting all the ‘must have’ items accumulated for the little one’s homecoming. My sweet husband insisted on having both a boy & a girl outfit to take to the hospital and HE wanted to pick the girl’s outfit. He (no lie) booted me out of the little girls department so he could find something himself. It kind of warms my heart! So I had the task of choosing the little boy’s snazzy getup. We finally found a couple of things we liked and well…I have given you a glimpse below! I still am voting boy, especially after yesterday when I was dragged to see transformers by a very excited spouse & this child power kicked through the entire thing. It wouldn’t let up. Husband is now suddenly voting girl. Only a few more weeks & one of these tiny outfits will be on a little person!! I can’t hardly wait.

Hi! Hello! I am Shawna, the founder of Styleberry Blog. This creative corner of the internet has become a learning haven for moms and creatives, offering a warm and encouraging nudge to those who wish to be better and do better, but often don't know where to start. From Decorating to DIY to Diapers and Paleo-ish Dishes, I strive to make the complicated simple and empower women to take action beyond their personal comfort zone. I subscribe to the Shine Theory & so strongly believe that we shine when the women around us shine and mutual support—lifting up instead of tearing down--will always be the culture here. Are you in? I hope so! Beyond the computer, I run Styleberry Creative where I work with clients to create low fuss, high function spaces that are pretty and practical in San Antonio, Texas and beyond. I LOVE making a house a home. My own studs out renovation is now complete and I am now back to working with clients. Please don't hesitate to drop me a line if you'd like to work together! I hope you’ll join me on this fun new adventure! Xo.
